WALKING THE CANAL

Most of the canal is on PRIVATE LAND, but there are still parts that are accessible to the public, and occasionally the Society conducts guided tours of these. If you do wish to walk the canal please keep to the public footpaths and not damage our good relationship with landowners by trespassing.
Ordnance Survey 1:25 000 PATHFINDER maps (green cover) ST66/76 (1183) Bath and Keynsham and ST65/75 (1199) Radstock and Wellow indicate the footpaths.
Walkers are advised to study some of the walking BOOKS on the canal.
